WichitaWellPump.com exists for one kind of caller: someone around Wichita whose water comes from their own well and whose pump, tank or switch has quit. The pages here are put together from Sedgwick County and City of Wichita well rules, KDHE material, K-State and University of Nebraska extension guides and USGS reports on the Equus Beds.

How a request is handled

When you call or fill in the form, the details go to an independent well and pump contractor who serves the Wichita area. That contractor calls you back, looks at the well, quotes the job and does the work under their own name and terms.

What this site does not do

We don't drill wells, pull pumps, sell equipment or hold any well contractor license. We don't set prices and we take no part in the work itself. Calls may be recorded so they reach the right contractor.

Checking a contractor

For any work on the casing or a new well, ask for the contractor's KDHE water well contractor license and, where it applies, their MABCD or City of Wichita registration. For any job, ask for a written price and the warranty terms before work begins.
